The Mercedes-Benz Museum at Stuttgart, Germany traces the remarkable history of the 125-year old Mercedes-Benz brand.

It’s a car lover’s paradise with the first automobile to classic and modern cars on display.

Carl Benz received the patent for the first car on 9 January 1886.

On nine levels and covering a floor space of 16,500 square metres, the museum presents 160 vehicles and over 1,500 exhibits, according to Mercedes-Benz.

Considered one of the most classic architectural sites of the 21st century, it has been designed by UNStudio.

The building’s interior shape inspired by the double helix structure of the DNA spiral, which in turn illustrates the Mercedes-Benz brand’s philosophy of originality.

The first of the tours consists of seven Legend rooms which narrate the chronological history of the brand.

The tours are conducted by guides who have been trained by architects to help with detailed information.

It is based on a unique cloverleaf concept using three overlapping circles with the center removed to form a triangular atrium.

The magnificent facade and the view across the giant glass panels is a treat for tourists.

The first small factory museum was opened in 1923 and the Daimler-Benz corporate archive was founded in 1936.

In the 1960s, a new Daimler-Benz Museum was opened to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the company.

The historical site was moved to a new address near the Daimler main production facility in Stuttgart.

One of the most outstanding aspects of the Mercedes-BenzMuseum is the route taken by visitors through the museum.

They do not begin their visit to the exhibition at the conventional entrance at the base of the building.

They are taken to the top floor first. Here they have the choice of two tours, the paths of which meet on each floor.

The museum also allows people to host receptions, conferences, company anniversaries or vehicle presentations.

The atrium provides a unique backdrop measuring 43 metres in height at the heart of the museum. It is available for special events after the museum's regular opening hours.

The Mercedes-Benz Museum has ten rooms with a total area of 4500 square metres reserved for events. The company organises three major event areas across three levels.

The casino with adjacent lounge is another attraction. The casino, lounge and roof terrace are all available for hire on level 8.

The museum provides visitors with audio tours in different languages. And at the museum shop, you can choose from over 3,000 articles on display.
