The world’s best airports are from Asia and Europe. None of the airports in the United States make it to the top 10 at the 2014 Skytrax World Airport Awards.

Singapore’s Changi Airport has been ranked as ‘World’s Best Airport’ for the second year in a row.

ChangiAirport has received more than 450 awards, making it the most awarded airport in the world.

Singapore Changi Airport

The swanky terminals, a huge retail area, a range of first-class experiences and services, including a rooftop swimming pool, movie theatres, unique themed garden spaces make this airport the best in the world.

A free city bus tour and the world’s tallest indoor slide are added attractions.

This is the fifth time Changi Airport has been awarded the coveted title.  

In 2013, the airport handled 53.1 million passengers. 

These awards are based on the independent worldwide airport customer satisfaction survey completed by more than 12 million travellers.

Incheon International Airport

One of the largest and busiest airports in the world, Incheon International Airport has been rated the best airport worldwide by Airports Council International for seven years in a row (2005–2012).

Incheon International Airport bagged the second position this year.

The airport has a golf course, spa, private sleeping rooms, a casino, indoor gardens and a museum of Korean culture.

It is one of the fastest airports in the world for customs processing. 

Its duty-free shopping mall has been ranked as the world's best for three years in a row in 2012 by Business Traveler magazine.

Munich Airport (Germany)

Rank: 3

Munich Airport is the second busiest airport in Germany in terms of passenger traffic.

It was the 30th busiest airport worldwide in 2013.

One of the highlights of this airport is the Visitors Park, which offers good views of the aircraft and Terminal 1.

The airport is connected by trains. The Munich Airport Centre is a shopping, business and recreation area that connects the two terminals.

The Hong Kong International Airport has one of the world's largest passenger terminals spread across an area of 9,110,000 sq ft.

Hong Kong International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Asia.

HKIA also has a large business and entertainment complex called sky plaza.

One of the attractions at the airport is an automated people mover, a driverless system to take people between the check-in area and the gates.

Beijing Capital International Airport

Beijing Capital International Airport is the second busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic. 

In 2008, Beijing opened the world’s second largest airport terminal in the world during the Olympic Games.

Terminal 3 has 243 elevators and escalators to facilitate easy movement inside the airport. There is also a room for travellers with disabilities.

One of attractions here is the $240 million luggage-transfer system, which can handle 19,200 pieces of luggage per hour.
