Asian Games gold medallist Anju Bobby George won the silver medal in women's long jump in the Stockholm IAAF Super Grand Prix tournament in Sweden on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Indian star touched a distance of 6.49 metres to finish second and win Euro 2400 (approx Rs 1.25 lakh). Sweden's Carolina Kluft (6.59) clinched the gold medal while Spain's Concepcion Montaner was third with an effort of 6.48m, according to information received on Wednesday.
This was Anju's best performance in her first year in the European circuit. Earlier, she finished fourth in Rome and sixth in Madrid.
The Kerala girl currently ranked No 9 in the world had achieved a season's best of 6.65m in Eagle Rock, USA in June.
