Direct Benefit Transfer of Rs 34 lakh crore using PM Jan Dhan accounts has led to huge savings for the government, Finance Minister Sitharaman says in her budget speech. This has been realised through avoidance of leakages, and the savings have helped in providing more funds for welfare of the poor, she says.
