No more talks with players on contract issue: BCCI
A day after top players refused to budge on the International Cricket Council contract issue, the Indian cricket board on Wednesday ruled out further talks with them.
"We will go ahead. The selection committee has been asked to identify 20 probables for the Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka. We will go by the BCCI Working Committee decision", board Secretary Niranjan Sha said.
Shah said BCCI would not make any further attempts to persuade the players to sign the controversial agreement. "We have talked enough. They are united... what can we do."
But, he said, the BCCI had not exactly closed the door on them. "If players decide to sign, we will consider," he said.
Shah said BCCI would also not talk to players currently in England who might not have been affected if they signed the agreement. "They knew what they were doing... they are no kids."
