Hansie should be remembered for honestly admitting that he did a mistake and the psychological trauma he had undergone post the match-fixing scandal was enough punishment. A life ban was too much and I think match-fixing is equivalent only to drug abuse by sportsmen. He had a great mental strength and survived one of the most devastating crises.
