Lehmann cleared to rejoin Australian team

Australian batsman Darren Lehmann was cleared on Thursday to rejoin the Australian cricket team for next week's ICC Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka as well as next month's three test series with Pakistan.

Lehmann was forced to miss Australia's triangular one-day series with Pakistan and Kenya after breaking a finger while playing for Yorkshire.

The left-handed middle-order batsman returned to Australia last month to rest before being cleared to resume playing.

"It goes without saying that I am looking forward to being part of the Australian side again, particularly for the ICC Champions Trophy, which is important to the team's preparation for next year's World Cup," Lehmann said in a statement released by the Australian Cricket Board.
