Ganguly to lead for Windies series
Sourav Ganguly has been retained as India captain for the home series against the West Indies, starting next month.
"We have retained Ganguly as captain for the West Indies series," Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Karunakaran Nair told reporters on friday.
The 29-year-old retains the job following a good tour of England, where India came from behind to draw the four-Test series 1-1 after winning a one-day series against the hosts and Sri Lanka.
Ganguly's side has also reached the final of the 12-team Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka.
The West Indies, currently training in Sri Lanka, begin their first tour of India in eight years on October 4.
They are scheduled to play three Tests in Mumbai (October 9-13), Chennai October 17-21) and Kolkata (October 30-November 3) and seven one-dayers from November 6 to 24.
