Debutant pace bowler Deepak Mangaraj grabbed four wickets in the second innings as Orissa crushed Himachal Pradesh by 180 runs on the last day of their four-day Ranji Trophy Plate division Group B match at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Friday.
Needing 440 to win the match, Himachal, resuming at the overnight 83 for two, crumbled against some tight bowling by the hosts to be all out for 259 soon after tea.
Mangaraj, who hit the headlines with his first innings haul of 7 for 42, sliced the tail to take four wickets for 69 runs for a significant match analysis of 11 for 111.
Orissa, who had seven points in the kitty from their matches against Goa and Maharashtra, picked up four more from the win to tally 11 after three matches.
Skipper Sangram Singh hit a fine 78 in Himachal's second innings and opener Sandeep Sharma made 53 while Ajay Mannu remained unbeaten on 51, but the other batsmen failed to contribute significantly to the total.
Mediumpacer Debashis Mohanty (two for 36), Pravanjan Mullick (two for 19) and off-spinner Sanjay Satpathy (one for 70) shared the other wickets.
Sandeep Sharma and Sangram Singh, who were the overnight not out batsmen, carried the total to 102 before the former was caught by Niranjan Behera off Mohanty. His half-century contained nine hits to the fence.
Sangram, who hit ten fours and a six, was fifth out on 209 when Subrat Behera took a catch off Mullick.

Madhya Pradesh beat Haryana by 4 wkts
Madhya Pradesh defeated Haryana by four wickets in their Ranji Trophy Plate Group A match at the Roop Singh stadium in Gwalior on Friday.
On the fourth and last day on Friday, Haryana lost wickets quickly and collapsed for a paltry 148. Only three Haryana batsmen -- Mahesh Rawat, Jitendra Singh and Safiq Khan -- managed to reach double figures as Madhya Pradesh leg-spinner Narendra Hirwani captured six wickets in an accurate and attacking spell, for a match tally of 13.
Haryana, who had established a comfortable lead in the first innings scoring 278, crumbled like a pack of cards and their last three wickets fell with the total stuck on 148. Skipper Ajay Ratra remained unbeaten on four.
Hosts Madhya Pradesh, who had put together 220 in their first innings, scored 208 losing six wickets to register a memorable win and take their points tally to six. Sachin Dholpure hit an impressive 62 and Devendra Bundela came up with a useful knock of 47.
But Madhya Pradesh captain Amay Khurasia, who was out for zero in first innings, fell after making just one run.
Earlier, the hosts were awarded 10 penalty runs by the umpire for Haryana's delaying tactics.
Maharashtra win by 10 wickets
Maharashtra registered an outright win against Goa beating them by 10 wickets to secure five points in their Ranji Trophy Plate Group B match in Pune on Friday.
It was an all-round performance by Maharashtra as they crushed Goa. After the home batsmen gave Goa a tough time on Thursday, the bowlers took over and shot the visitors out for 175 in their second innings on Friday.
An unbeaten double century by Kaushik Aphale (215) and an unbeaten century (123) by captain Hrishikesh Kanitkar saw Maharashtra declare their first innings on a mammoth 500 for two.
Goa managed to set a target of just two runs and Maharashtra achieved it in the very first over of their second innings when opener Dheeraj Jadhav hit a boundary to complete the formality.
Earlier, Goa had a bad start losing opener V Kolambkar when he had just opened his account. His partner S Asnodkar also could not stay for long and returned to the pavilion after making 24 runs.
The only batsman to put up a fight was M Phadke with 56 runs off 83 balls with one six and seven hits to the fence. R D'Souza (35) and S Jakati (25) were the other main scorers for Goa.
