Maninder Singh Bisla hit a sparkling unbeaten 76 as Himachal beat Services by five wickets in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group B match at the Palam ground at New Delhi on Wednesday.
After Vikramjit Singh impressed with the ball, taking six wickets to help Himachal bowl out Services for 175 in their second knock, it was the turn of Bisla to hog the limelight and guide his team to victory.
Bisla hit 12 fours as Himachal, with the cushion of a 58-run first innings lead, reached the target of 118 runs in 41.3 overs.
Skipper Sangram Singh was the only other Himachal batsman to score in double figures but Bisla's solid knock ensured Himachal returned home with four points.
Earlier, resuming at 80 for two, Services lost their way in the face of some tight bowling led by Vikramjit Singh.
Overnight batsman Krishna Chawda provided some resistance with a patient 56 but that was about all as Services were bowled out for 175 in 81.3 overs to leave Himachal with a manageable target to chase.
