Power Minister Suresh Prabhu resigns

Tara Shankar Sahay in New Delhi

Shiv Sena leader and Union Power Minister Suresh Prabhu resigned from the Cabinet on Monday.

Sena chief Bal Thackeray had indicated to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee that he wanted the power portfolio to go to Anant Geete, Minister of State for Finance.
