December 13, 2001, will be etched forever in the memory of the nation. On this day, five terrorists launched an unexpected attack on Parliament House. AK-47s stuttered death while grenades were lobbed indiscriminately.
Though the attack was foiled and the terrorists killed, it cost six lives, including that of a bystander, a gardener. Four more victims died of their wounds later.
Two years down the line, rediff.com visits the families of five of those who died that fateful day. They share with us their sense of loss, their determination to go on, and their anger with the government.
