Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati will stay at Kalavai mutt, 40 km from Kanchipuram, after his release from the Vellore jail.
The Supreme Court on Monday granted him bail in the Sankararaman murder case with the condition that he will not visit the Kanchi mutt till investigations in the case are over.

The seer is likely to be released this afternoon.
Kanchi mutt manager, Pollachi Mahadevan, said the Shankaracharya will continue with his daily pujas, including that of the idol of Chandramouliswarar, the presiding deity of the Kanchi mutt, for which essential articles are being moved to Kalavai.
"Many pundits are on their way there, some on foot, chanting mantras," he said.
