Eminent eye surgeon and Padma Bhushan awardee Dr M C Modi died in Bangalore Friday following a cardiac arrest, hospital sources said.
Modi, 90, is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for performing the highest number of eye surgeries.
He is survived by a son.
