Union Home Minsiter Shivraj Patil will make an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, IT and Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran said on Saturday.
After declaring open the renovated General Post Office building, which was gutted in a fire two years ago, he told reporters that he, along with MPs from the state, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday.
Dr Singh had asked Patil to visit the state on Sunday, he said. All the central ministers from the state would accompany Patil.
