ITI stun F C KochinNigerian Kenneth Onu struck twice in the second half to help ITI, Bangalore, beat F C Kochin 2-0 in the fourth round of the National Football League, in Kochi, on Thursday. The victory enabled the Bangalore side score their first victory in the competition after three successive draws. As hoped by their coach, Krishnaji Rao, who took over the team just before the match after a year's absence, ITI played their hearts out and finally ''broke the ice''. F C Kochin are yet to post a victory. Spearheading the collective attempts of the telephone men, who outclassed their more formidable rivals with quick and short passes, Kenneth bulged the net in the 62nd minute, cashing in on a defensive lapse. A mispass near the penalty box was brilliantly touched on by George Ekka to Onu, who took a volley from the right corner of the box, which beat advancing goalkeepr Ali Abubacker, who should be otherwise credited for a some impressive saves in the first half. Man-of-the-match Onu struck again three minutes later with a powerful drive from the centre of the box, again capitalising on some poor defending by the home side. He came close to scoring a hat-trick on a few more occasions before he was replaced a few minutes before the end of the play.
