Williams sisters avenge loss to HingisVenus and Serena Williams earned swift revenge over Martina Hingis on Thursday, teaming up to beat their Swiss rival and her partner Monica Seles and reach the final of the Australian Open women's doubles. The American sisters beat Hingis and Seles 7-5, 6-2 in their semifinal showdown after Hingis had knocked them both out of the singles to join Jennifer Capriati in Saturday's final. Hingis followed her victory over Serena in Wednesday's quarter-finals by scalping Venus earlier on Thursday in their semifinal. But the sisters' revenge in the doubles prevented Hingis from reaching her fifth straight final with five different partners. The Williams will play Lindsay Davenport and Corina Morariu in Friday's final after the American pair beat second seeded Australian Nicole Arendt and Ai Sugiyama of Japan 7-5, 6-2.
