India meet Dutch first in Champions Trophy
India will meet Olympic champions the Netherlands in their opening match in the 24th men's Champions Trophy hockey tournament, to be held in Cologne, Germany, from August 31 to September 8.
India, who qualified for the Champions Trophy after winning the first men's Champions Challenge in December 2001, will be playing in the elite six-team tournament after a hiatus of six years, having last appeared in the 1996 edition when they hosted the event in Madras.
The other participating teams are: World Cup silver medallists Australia, World champions Germany, Korea and Pakistan.
