Paes, Bhupathi for Asian Games
Leander Paes and Nirupama Vaidyanathan will lead the Indian men's and women's teams respectively at the Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, next month.
Vaidyanathan, who got married recently, makes a return to competitive tennis after almost a year. She will play in both the singles and doubles matches in the team events as also the individual
events.
Manisha Malhotra, Rushmi Chakravarthy and Isha Lakhani are the other members of the women's team.
The men's team comprises Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi, Rohan Bopanna and Sunil Kumar Sipaeya, who has been included in the Davis Cup team which will face Australia in the World Group qualifier from September 20 to 22, in Adelaide.
Paes will pair with the young Sania Mirza while Bhupathi with team up with Manisha Malhotra in the mixed doubles.
Mustafa Ghouse and Vishal Uppal, and Sania Mirza and Ankita Bhambri form the second doubles teams in the men's and
women's sections of the individual events respectively.
