Jaspal Rana wins second gold

India added another gold medal to their rich haul from the shooting ranges at Bisley when Jaspal Rana and Mahaveer Singh won the men's 25 metre Centre Fire Pistol - Pairs event at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday.

The duo aggregated 1150 points to come out tops by a solitary point.

David Moore and Bruce Quick of Australia finished a close second with 1149 points, while Pakistan's Irshad Ali and Zahid Ali won the bronze with 1142 points.

For Rana, it is his second gold, having won the men's 25 metre Standard Pistol Pairs, partnering Samresh Jung.

Rana and Jung had also won a silver in the men's 10 metre air pistol pair event.

Rana and Mahaveer's medal on Tuesday swelled India gold tally to eight.
