JCT, F C Kochin draw

J CT Mills, Phagwara, and Kerala's F C Kochin played out a 1-1 draw in their 15th round match in the Tata National Football League in Ludhiana on Sunday.

JCT, who had defeated East Bengal 2-1 in their previous match, forged ahead in the 30th minute of first half when Ranjit Singh, with a solo effort, penetrated the Kochin defence and sent a powerful grounder which beat the goalkeeper hands down.

The Kerala team rallied strongly in the second session and found the equalizer in the 79th minute through centre striker Kucothungan. Receiving a pass from V P Shahi, Kuchothungan despatched a powerful shot from within the rival box that curved before going into the net.

With today's drawn encounter JCT and F C Kochin have 11 points each.
