About the Game

There are as many as 30 different versions of the game. Among them, stroke play and match play are well known. At the Games, only stroke play will be held. Players play 4 rounds (a round: 18 holes/par 72) on 4 succesive days. There are team and individual competitions.
Team competition:
A team consists of 4 players (3 for women). The number of strokes of the top 3 (top 2 for women) of each team at each round are totaled. The team with the minimm number of strokes for 4 rounds wins the championship.
Individual competition:
Ranking is decided by the total number of strokes of 4 rounds.
