For singles, the 5-game system is used; in this system, a player must win 3 out of 5 games to win a match. For doubles and team events, the 3-game system is used; in this system, a team must win 2 out of 3 games to win a match. To win a game, it is necessary to score 21 points. If a game goes to deuce, the player or team who wins two straight points is the winner.
