Amitabh has always been in awe of his father. In fact, Jaya says Harivansh Rai is probably his inspiration.

The actor himself has fond memories of accompanying his father to kavi sammelans and watching him recite poems at packed halls. Some of the poems he vividly remembers are Madhushala, Ekant Sangeet and Nisha Nimantran.
