Concerned over fake circulars regarding revised overtime allowance being circulated in central government offices, the government has clarified that no such instructions have been issued by it and have asked ministries and departments not to take note of it.
The fake order, the circulation of which began recently, even carried the signature of an Under Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.
After an internal probe the government was assured that the order was a fake one. "It is clarified that no such instruction has been issued by this Department or Ministry of Finance.
Ministries and departments are advised not to take cognizance of the fake instructions being circulated in Central government offices," a notification from the Department of Personnel and Training said.
